PoolHelm Launches: Pool Service Software That Watches the Weather

New flat-price platform gives pool service owner-operators an AI morning briefing, storm-aware routing, and per-visit billing that stops giving away the "5th week."

LONGVIEW, Texas — August 25, 2026 — BorderLeap LLC today launched PoolHelm (poolhelm.com), a web platform built for the owner-operators who run most of America's pool service companies — typically two to six technicians, dispatched from the owner's own truck. PoolHelm's premise is simple: the owner should command the route, not chase it.

PoolHelm's signature capability is weather that actually reaches the schedule. The platform times each approaching storm against each stop's live arrival estimate and shows the owner exactly which pools are at risk the moment a reading turns severe — escalating to a priority alert only after two consecutive readings agree, so a single radar blip never rearranges a day. The owner decides what to skip and what to keep, and no customer is notified until the owner confirms it. Each morning at 6, PoolHelm reads the operator's entire operation — routes, chemistry, weather, money, loose ends — and delivers a briefing of the three to five things that actually need the owner's attention. One click builds the whole week's routes; visits are proven with required arrival and finish photos; and customers receive a branded proof-of-service email after every stop.

The launch also takes aim at a quiet industry loss PoolHelm calls the 5th week: a weekly customer receives 52 visits a year, but flat monthly billing pays for 48 — four visits per customer delivered free, by construction. PoolHelm bills per visit by default, so every completed visit invoices, including the fifth. At $75 a visit across 150 weekly customers, the difference is roughly $45,000 a year; figures vary by operator, but the arithmetic doesn't.
